Description
Statistics and probability form the mathematical basis for handling data. This course introduces statistical techniques for the analysis of data sets with a focus on fundamental aspects of data privacy, which can be used to construct data-based solutions to problems that are encountered in the technology and government sectors. Topics discussed include experimental design; visualization techniques; and best practices for handling data, including encryption and statistical privacy. The ideas will be explored through statistical theory, case studies, and hands-on experimentation.
