Topics include: pointers and their applications to arrays, linked lists, stacks, binary search trees; recursive algorithms with pointer-based data structures; object-oriented programming with copy constructors, move constructors, copy assignment operators, and move assignment operators; binary representation of integers; floating point representation of real numbers. This course is not open to students who have completed CIS 4100 or MTH 4300. MTH 4299 is not applicable to the math minor or to the computer science minor.
