Description

Each of us sends and receives nonverbal messages on a daily basis, including facial expressions, gestures, body posture and movement, and tone of voice. Nonverbal communication is an important component of virtually all human interaction. This course introduces students to the dynamics of nonverbal behavior through exploration of scholarly research, application of theory, and analysis of sociocultural variables to foster a deeper appreciation and greater understanding of nonverbal messages across social contexts.
