Course Title

Game Theory

Description

This is a course about strategic interaction between individuals. We will assume that individuals are rational: they maximize an objective function (e.g., profit) given their beliefs about the strategies of others. We will extend this assumption to the common knowledge of rationality, and further still to the coordination of beliefs in equilibrium, in order to increasingly refine the set of predicted outcomes in strategic environments. We will operationalize these core theoretical constructs through many practical examples.
