The legal aspects of regulating the American enterprise system are studied. Problems arising from monopolistic practices, contracts in restraint of trade, mergers, and intracorporate conspiracy are analyzed. The function of the courts, government, and private parties are considered, together with the civil and criminal liability of the enterprise and its management. Topics to be included are antitrust economics, the role of the Federal Trade Commission, antitrust exemptions, and deregulation.
