Department(s)
Description
Companies of all kinds and sizes are expanding their horizons from local to global markets and resources, and the playing field in a growing number of industries is becoming global. Adequately confronting the challenges of this reality and taking advantage of its opportunities requires special attitudes and perspectives -- in short, a global mindset. The purpose of this course is to assist students in developing this mindset and the associated capabilities to create value via global activity. A combination of exercises, case studies, readings and class discussions will enable students to gain an understanding of the managerial tasks confronting the global manager in a protected classroom environment.
