Elementary French I

Description

This is the first course of a one-year introductory sequence that aims to give students a command of written and spoken language and grammar. Emphasis is on communication skills and the cultures of French-speaking peoples. Self-expression is developed through the use of collaborative, situational, and presentational activities. This course is not open to students with two or more years of high school French, to students with prior knowledge of the language, or to students with the NFRE student group.
