This course will provide an understanding of the basic financial tools available for the small entrepreneur. The course content will cover the preparation of financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, net cash flow, etc. forms of business organization for small business proprietorship, partnership, and corporation and the advantages and disadvantages of each form sources of capital: how and where to get money to start a business, operate a business, and expand a business budgeting: cash flow and cash flow prediction record keeping and inventory management credit and collection: how and when to extend credit and how to collect ethics in small business.
