Description
This course provides an in-depth look at complex environmental issues. Students are expected to find, evaluate, and document sources of information concerning the topic, discuss alternative viewpoints with other students in class, and write term papers and/or complete projects based upon their research. Students also design and conduct laboratory and/or field studies on some aspect of the topic, present their results orally to the class, and prepare a poster summarizing their findings. Topics vary from semester to semester. Students may enroll in ENV 4900 more than once if the topic is different.
