This course examines the history of the Holocaust in a transnational context. Topics may include: the emergence of modern anti-Semitism; the development of Nazism and pan-European fascism; Jewish responses to the crises of the 1930s; mass murder and machineries of destruction; collaboration and resistance; gender and the holocaust; and holocaust memorialization "after Auschwitz."
