Description
This course will introduce the student to the basic elements of discrete probability including: sample spaces, rules of probability, independence, conditional probability, Bayes' Theorem, discrete multivariate distribution, covariance, correlation and various special discrete distributions. It will also cover a small amount of integral calculus and introduce the student to the Normal distribution and the Central Limit Theorem. This course is not open to students who have completed MTH 3020 or MTH 3030 or MTH 3050 or MTH 4120.
