Elementary Italian I

Description

This is the first course of a one-year introductory sequence that aims to give students a command of written and spoken language and grammar. Emphasis is on communication skills and knowledge of Italian culture and traditions. Self-expression is developed in an interactive learning environment using situational dialogues, audiovisual aids, select technology-enhanced learning exercises, and collaborative and presentational activities. This course is not open to students with two or more years of high school Italian, to students with prior knowledge of the language, or to students with the NITL student group
