Description
This course provides students who are completing minor or major programs in English with opportunities to sharpen their research, communication, and critical skills. In the first half of the course, a variety of interpretive questions will be explored as students work as a group on the close study of primary documents and secondary texts. In the second half of the semester, students work individually with their instructor, applying the methods of scholarly inquiry that they have studied to a related interpretive question of their own choice. For students with two other upper-level (3000-level or above) English courses, this course may serve as the capstone for the Tier III requirement.
