This course examines the evolution of human sexual differences, the symbolic nature of gender differences, women's roles, women in economic development and social change, and anthropological theories of women's subordination. This course is equivalent to ANT 3110. Students may receive credit for either ANT 3110 or SOC 3110. These courses may not substitute for each other in the F grade replacement policy.
